A Time Lapse Image: How it is done

I took a time lapse pictures of the setting sun in about an hour with an interval of every 2 minutes on a mall's rooftop last Saturday before picking up my wife at work.

Instead of making a video, I tried merging and overlaying the time lapse pictures as one and the results, to me, was simply amazing. I captured the afternoon light going into the reddish setting of the sun as reflected from the clouds in just one image.
